ANSWER, a short film
“Answer” is a short dance film exploring identity, belonging, and self-understanding through the experiences of three young interracial Asian adoptee women. Using movement as its primary language, the film examines the emotional complexities of adoption, cultural duality, and the search for personal identity. Directed by Mary-Lee Brunet, “Answer” brings forward stories that are often overlooked, creating space for reflection, connection, and visibility. Authentic and intimate, it invites viewers to witness the process of seeking, and sometimes living without, clear answers about who we are and where we belong.
