Mary-Lee Brunet is a Montreal-based dancer and visual artist whose practice centers on street dance styles such as hip-hop, popping, and strutting. As a prospect member of Montreal’s chapter of the L.A.-based Funny Bones Crew, her work explores storytelling through movement, culture, and visual form, alongside skills in graphic design, media, and coordination.
As her career continues to unfold, she has performed in the dance film Point of View by Sarah Steben, directed her own short film Answer with Do Phan Hoi (commissioned by CanAsian Dance), contributed to the JOAT.EXEdocumentary as coordinator and assistant director (JOAT Festival), and interpreted in Claudia Chan Tak’s La Nostalgie du Papillon Malgache, among other projects.
